Thursday Evening—The Art of Green Decorative Finishing Cost: $99
This lecture breaks down the future of green Decorative Finishing and how you can profit by embracing the Geen Movement into your painting and decorative paining company. In this seminar you will learn about key aspects of greening your decorative finishing business. We will discuss the environmental impacts of how finishes can be applied in Degrees of Green as well as look at different key documentation that you will need to be familiar with. Document discussions will include the GS-11, Rule 1113, and the Different LEED ratings systems. This seminar will aid you in speaking the language of green with Builders, Designers and Architects giving you advantages over your competitors. This lecture will be based on the article written by Kelly S. King for the fall 09 issue of “The Faux Finishers” titled “Panning for Gold and Green—Understanding What It Means to be Green and Building a Business Strategy Around It”. The Green Build environment is getting bigger every day and now is the time to learn how to prosper and build your green business strategy.
Friday—Fast-High Production, High Profit Decorative Spray Finish Techniques for Walls and Cabinetry Cost: $299
If you are a Painting Contractor or Decorative Finsishing Contractor, this class is a must. Learn several finishes that require minimal labor and materials yet produce high profit margins. These finishes are very elegant and look as if they are extremely labor intensive and expensive, yet they are so easy and quick to achieve. This class does not require any spray experience. However, it is required that you have experience as either a painter or decorative finisher to attend. These finishes are so productive that the prices you charge your customres with labor rates, materials, and profits built in, can be less than normal painting.
After completing this class you will feel comfortable on the job with HVLP spray system and airless sprayers, and be more confident in production practices, shedules and the ability to create faux finishes with ease. Colorwashing in particular is an absolute dream when glazes are applies using a sprayer. Spray systems allow finishers to apply glazes at random very quickly. Combining two or more color glazes with a spray system allows the colors to blend in a wonderfully seamless quality. Glazes can be applied over large areas without any dry edge problems.
These finishes are the perfect answers for adding jobs to your schedule and cash to your company in times with customers are careful about what they are spending. Cancellation and Refund Policy:
Cancellations and refunds are available if student cannot attend, however 25% of deposit will be subtracted due to processing fee and products purchased for class. A minimum of two weeks notice before class start date must be given for cancellation. If cancellation occurs within two weeks of class start, the deposit may be transferred to another scheduled class. Cancellations must be delivered in writing vie email or mailed to the above address. Elite Artistry, LLC reserves the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment or other unforseen reasons. If this should occur, students will have the option of transferring the deposit to a future class scheduled or request a full refund.
